Innovation Projects and Publications in Progress for Jobs Sydney

There are a number of projects underway in Sydney and greater NSW that will bring a great deal of jobs Sydney. These projects will expand in several different sectors including the Creative Industry sector, Logistics sector, Low Carbon Innovation and the Regional Innovation sector.
Creative Industry sector - The Innovation Unit has determined that NSW's creative industry currently employs 37% of the Australian creative workforce while the jobs employment growth rate is double that of any other industries. The averages jobs wages within the creative industry are 18 per cent higher than the average jobs Sydney and NSW wages of any other industry while NSW and Sydney are the market leader in jobs in 10 of the 11 creative industry sectors investigated.
Both the NSW Creative Industry: Economic Fundamentals and NSW Creative Industry Insights reported the creative industry's importance as a contributor to both the NSW economy and jobs Sydney and highlight its importance for future years. Jobs within this category include Media, Advertising, Arts and Entertainment
Logistics sector - the report, Path to Innovation: Innovation in the NSW Freight Logistics Industry, highlighted the supply chain and regulations involved within the NSW and Sydney logistics. There are many jobs Sydney that are within the logistics sector such as Logistics, Transport and Supply jobs
Low Carbon Innovation Project - is investigating low carbon technologies and ';green' processes while identifying possible opportunities for government and industry action. This is being done in conjunction with the Department of Environment and Climate Change. As a side note, the ';green' energy and technology industry is predicted to be one of the fasted growing jobs Sydney, and indeed nationwide. This project will effect a range of jobs industries from Construction, Building and Architecture jobs to Mining, Oil and Gas jobs to Scientific jobs.
Regional Innovation Strategy - developing policies and framework that will encourage innovative capability of regional NSW businesses. The report is due to be released in March 2009
