- Support our Network Development Project Management Office!
- Blacktown based position (Westpoint Shopping Centre)
- 18 month contract
In meeting our network investment program, we are currently seeking three highly motivated and experienced Contract Administrators to join our Network Development team in our Blacktown (Westpoint) office.
As a Contracts Administrator, you shall be working with our Program Directors to ensure a common approach is taken to the administration of contractual issues across all projects.
This is to be achieved by providing support to Project Managers in dealing with day to day contract administrative tasks - facilitating opening contract meetings, ensuring contractual documentation is processed in a timely manner, monitoring overall contract performance and highlighting and assisting in resolving any systematic contract performance issues.
This role would suit self-starters with a strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation/dispute resolution skills and with a track record in a Legal, Contract administration or Project Management role.
Some key challenges are in:
- Ensuring consistency of approach to the use of the GC21 form of contract across the organisation where users have been using a variety of processes in the past.
- Engaging with managers at all levels to deliver and implement the new ‘best practice’ Commercial Management Framework. While the business is reluctant to follow the ‘best practice’ approach as it is more involved than previous processes.
- Accurately interpreting the content and intent of a number of documents including Contract, Drawings, Specifications and Expert reports and making concise and accurate interpretation of the intent of all documents.
Key role requirements include:
- Tertiary qualification (minimum Degree level) in engineering, project management, business, legal, commercial or construction related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in program management or project management and delivery of large, multi-function projects and programs.
- Extensive experience in commercial contract management with experience in GC21 to reduce Network risk in contractual dealings.
In return you will be working for a forefront leader in the electrical industry, who offers challenging projects, healthy work-life balance and generous benefits.
Please note that this is an 18 month fixed term contract, based on a 40 hour work week.
